About the Product

Red Tongkat Ali (红东革阿里) is the Malaysian traditional and trade name for reddish Tongkat Ali root — often discussed with reddish bark and highland-associated sourcing narratives. In Malaysia it is regarded as a preferred Tongkat Ali root form versus common Yellow trade stock. We sell it as dried root slices from Pahang for herbal tea. That cultural preference is not a published batch DNA certificate or eurycomanone assay. Site content discusses Eurycoma longifolia as the botanical research category. We do not identify the product as Jackiopsis ornata. See What We Test and What is Red Tongkat Ali?.
In Malaysian traditional preference and local market reputation, Red is regarded as a preferred form. That is not the same as a published laboratory ranking of potency for every batch, and extract clinical trials do not prove outcomes for our unassayed root tea. Read Red vs Yellow vs Black.
No. Most commercial Tongkat Ali products are factory-made extracts (often labeled 200:1 or 400:1) in capsules. Ours is dried root slices for tea — not a standardized extract. Extract research is not proof of the composition or outcomes of our individual root batches.
Bitterness is common for many Tongkat Ali root teas and can vary by material and preparation. Bitterness alone is not a lab assay of identity, purity, potency, or compound content. You can add honey or brew milder if it is too intense.
Traditional boiled tea: Place 2–3 slices in 500ml–1L of water. Bring to a boil, then simmer gently for 20–30 minutes. Strain and let cool. Drink once or twice daily. You can re-boil the same slices 2–3 times until they lose color and bitterness. Cold soak: Place 3–4 slices in 1L of cold water overnight. Drink the next morning. Storage: Brew a large pot and refrigerate for up to 5 days. This is traditional preparation guidance, not medical dosing advice.
Experiences vary widely. We do not promise timelines, energy changes, or hormone outcomes for our unassayed root slices. Extract-study durations are not product promises. Read the evidence index and What We Test for research and documentation limits.
Depends on brew strength and frequency. Using about 2–3 slices daily: 500g often lasts roughly 2–3 months for one person; 1kg about 4–6 months. Two people roughly doubles use.

Safety & Health

Tongkat Ali has a long history of traditional adult use in Southeast Asia as a herbal food. It is not a medicine. Consult your physician before starting — especially if you are over 60, take prescription medications, or have health conditions.
Some women use Tongkat Ali traditionally at lower amounts. Pregnant or breastfeeding women, and anyone with hormone-sensitive conditions, should not use it without medical advice. Always consult your doctor first. See our guide for women.
Dedicated interaction trials for our unassayed root-slice tea are not established. Herbal literature sometimes raises questions about combining Tongkat Ali products with prescription medicines (for example blood-pressure, diabetes, or immunosuppressant drugs) and about use with hormone-sensitive conditions. That discussion is not the same as proven interaction rates for this batch. If you take medicines or have a medical condition, ask a clinician or pharmacist before use, and always tell them about any herbal tea or supplement you take. Full safety guide: Side effects & safety.
We do not currently publish a batch certificate of analysis (COA) for identity, heavy metals, microbes, pesticides, or eurycomanone percentage. We sell dried root slices for tea and are transparent about that limit. Full detail: What We Test.
